UAE and Slovakia Strengthen Economic Ties with New Partnership Agreement

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico held high-level talks in Abu Dhabi on Monday, resulting in the signing of a landmark economic partnership agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Slovakia.

During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across key sectors including trade, renewable energy, innovation, future technologies, and culture. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration that supports sustainable growth and mutual prosperity.

Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Fico also exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful engagement as tools for resolving global crises.

As part of the visit, the leaders witnessed the exchange of agreements aimed at strengthening economic and investment relations between the two countries. The documents were signed by Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, and Vladimir Simonak, State Secretary at Slovakia’s Ministry of Economy.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad, Adviser to the UAE President, along with several ministers and senior UAE officials. The Slovakian delegation also comprised key government representatives and top officials.

The new agreements mark a significant step forward in the UAE-Slovakia relationship, paving the way for expanded economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and technological exchange between the two nations.
