During their stay in Dubai, the two ships are set to engage in professional interactions with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on various aspects of maritime operations. The goal of these interactions is to facilitate the exchange of best practices and strengthen cooperation between the naval forces of the two nations.
The press release emphasized that the ongoing visit will contribute to bolstering the maritime partnership between India and the UAE while promoting a shared understanding of the security challenges in the region.
Prior to its arrival in Dubai, INS Visakhapatnam made a port call in Muscat, Oman, where it engaged in various naval cooperation events with the Royal Navy of Oman. Coinciding with this visit, Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of India’s Naval Staff, held high-level discussions with the military leadership of Oman, aiming to consolidate existing bilateral defence relations.
