Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Conducts Mock Judicial Session for Sorbonne University Law Students

As part of their practical training, students from Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi’s College of Law participated in a simulation of a judicial session organized by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department. This initiative aims to enhance students’ skills and abilities by bridging the gap between theoretical study and practical application in the field of law.

The training, held within the Abu Dhabi Courts, aligns with efforts to elevate the quality of education and academic training in legal fields. It reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE and Head of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, to foster community engagement and leadership development across various sectors.

During the simulation, students assumed various roles, including judges, members of the Public Prosecution, judges’ assistants, and defense lawyers, in a mock case scenario. This hands-on experience allows participants to delve into the intricacies of judicial and legal procedures within a courtroom setting.

The simulation serves multiple purposes, notably bridging the gap between theoretical legal studies and real-world courtroom practices. By applying classroom knowledge to practical scenarios, students gain valuable insights and skills essential for their future careers in the legal field.
