Dubai, UAE — Dubai is embracing the festive spirit with dazzling Christmas tree displays and enchanting holiday-themed attractions across the city, offering visitors unforgettable experiences this season.
Motiongate Dubai at Dubai Parks and Resorts has unveiled a stunning Christmas tree worth Dh150,000, designed to reflect the park’s Hollywood-inspired theme. The grand tree, adorned with sparkling LED lights, reflective ornaments, and custom-made garlands, serves as a central photo opportunity, perfectly positioned to frame the iconic Motiongate arch. Ahmed Ali, Senior Manager of Sports and Entertainment at Dubai Parks and Resorts, explained that the tree’s strategic placement offers visitors the perfect festive backdrop for photos. The installation was completed in just 24 hours — a remarkable feat that ensured minimal disruption, transitioning seamlessly from UAE National Day decorations to the holiday setup overnight.
A dedicated team of over 30 professionals, including engineers, decorators, and electricians, ensured that every detail of the tree was meticulously executed. The materials used were carefully selected to be weather-resistant and durable, ensuring that the tree remains a dazzling sight for visitors throughout the season.
Winter City at Expo City Dubai
Another festive wonder has taken over Expo City Dubai’s Winter City, where the heart of the celebrations is its breathtaking Christmas tree. The tree, surrounded by mesmerizing projections at Al Wasl Plaza, serves as a magical centerpiece for family activities, including Santa’s meet-and-greet sessions. According to Dalya Kattan, Creative Director for Entertainment and Experiences at Expo City Dubai, this year’s Winter City theme draws inspiration from the North Pole and Santa’s home, creating an immersive holiday experience.
The tree setup itself was a meticulous process, taking three full days of round-the-clock work, involving a team of around 45 specialists. The design includes a massive star topper and festive projections that transport visitors into a magical winter wonderland. “The experience is elevated by the artificial snowfall, created using eco-friendly machines from Desert Snow, ensuring the magic remains sustainable,” Kattan shared.
Festive Fun and Holiday Flavours
In addition to the stunning decorations, Winter City offers a variety of activities and experiences for all ages. Visitors can enjoy festive food trucks serving an array of seasonal treats and international cuisines. Special seasonal menus are also available at select restaurants, and every Saturday in December features the Brunch City event, with an extra-special brunch on December 25.
