Dubai-based airline Emirates has expanded its global network to 137 destinations across 72 countries, as it updates its latest travel advisory and introduces enhanced flexibility for passengers.
The airline said it continues to monitor global travel conditions while improving connectivity and increasing flight options for international travellers. The expansion reinforces Emirates’ position as one of the world’s largest long-haul carriers, with routes spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australasia.
Passengers have been advised to regularly check flight schedules and confirm bookings before travel, as operational changes may still occur depending on route conditions.
Flexible booking and refund options
As part of the updated advisory, Emirates has introduced more flexible rebooking and refund policies for affected travellers.
Passengers who booked between February 28 and May 31 are allowed to rebook flights to the same destination or another within the same region, with travel permitted up to June 15.
Customers also have the option of requesting refunds, depending on ticket type and booking method. Those who booked directly with Emirates can apply online, while passengers who used travel agents are advised to contact them for assistance.
The airline also confirmed that unused ticket segments may be automatically refunded once cancellation requests are processed.
In addition, Emirates is offering one free date change for all bookings made from April 2 onwards across all cabin classes, although fare differences may still apply.
Digital services and travel management
Passengers can manage bookings via the Emirates website or mobile app, where they can update travel details, select alternative flights, choose seats, or modify onboard preferences such as meals and chauffeur services.
The airline said customers may make multiple adjustments under the current travel waiver system, which remains valid until May 31. Travellers are also encouraged to update their contact details to receive real-time flight notifications.
Customer support channels
For more complex travel issues, Emirates continues to offer support through its call centres, live chat services, and physical service points.
While some city check-in centres remain closed, assistance is still available at selected locations, including Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport and other designated Emirates service centres in Dubai.
Passengers have been urged to verify flight status before heading to the airport to avoid disruptions.
