Yango Group Sets Sights on West Africa with New Côte d’Ivoire Hub

Yango Group, the Dubai-headquartered tech and mobility powerhouse, is making bold moves on the African continent with the launch of a new regional office in Côte d’Ivoire, signaling a major step in its accelerated expansion strategy across West Africa.

Announced this week, the Côte d’Ivoire hub will serve as a central base for Yango’s operations in Francophone Africa, bolstering its footprint in key sectors including ride-hailing, e-commerce, fintech, and logistics.

“Africa is one of the most dynamic and promising markets for tech-driven services,” said David Goy, Yango’s Regional Director for Africa. “Opening a regional office in Côte d’Ivoire reinforces our commitment to long-term investment and local partnership in the region.”

Strategic Growth in Emerging Markets

Yango has steadily grown its presence in Africa over the past few years, with operations already active in Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Senegal, and Zambia. The company’s localized approach, combining global expertise with on-ground collaboration, has helped it rapidly gain market share in mobility and last-mile delivery services.

The Côte d’Ivoire office is expected to enhance operational efficiency, support talent acquisition, and foster government and private-sector partnerships in West Africa’s fast-developing tech ecosystem.

Why Côte d’Ivoire?

With Abidjan emerging as a tech and economic hub in the region, Yango’s decision reflects a growing trend among international firms leveraging Côte d’Ivoire’s stable business environment, strategic location, and youthful digital-savvy population.

According to the World Bank, Côte d’Ivoire’s economy is projected to grow at over 6.5% in 2025, making it one of Africa’s top-performing markets.

A Broader Vision

Yango’s expansion aligns with its wider vision of building smart urban ecosystems across emerging markets integrating AI-powered transport, delivery, and digital financial services into a seamless consumer experience.

The company has also emphasized its commitment to localization, sustainability, and employment, with plans to onboard Ivorian talent and support entrepreneurship through local partnerships.
