University of Sharjah Hosts Open Day for High School Students

In an initiative aimed at guiding prospective students towards their academic journey, His Excellency Dr. Humaid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Director of the University of Sharjah, inaugurated a three-day open day event tailored for high school students from both government and private institutions across the country.

Organized by the Marketing Department, the event seeks to familiarize attendees with the diverse academic programs and specialized fields offered by the university across its colleges. It also aims to elucidate admission criteria, study regulations, career prospects associated with each specialization, and the range of services provided by various university departments and centers.

The opening ceremony witnessed the participation of vice presidents, college deans, center and department directors, as well as heads of departments, alongside faculty and administrative members.

Anticipating over 2,500 students, the open day endeavors to facilitate interactions between students and university staff to address queries and concerns. Additionally, a designated day has been allocated for parents to explore the university campus alongside their children, gaining insights into its academic infrastructure, including classrooms, laboratories, and cutting-edge research facilities.

Through this initiative, the University of Sharjah aims to assist students in charting their educational trajectories, attracting exceptional talent, and fostering their academic pursuits to equip them with the necessary skills and competencies for success in the job market. Furthermore, the event serves as a platform to showcase the university’s latest scientific endeavors and research projects spanning various disciplines such as science, engineering, medicine, among others.
