The Friends of Diabetes Association, a key health-supporting entity within the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, convened its inaugural general meeting for 2024. The gathering served as a platform to strategize and discuss forthcoming health projects and programs.
Her Excellency Khawla Al-Hajj, President of the Friends of Diabetes Association, presided over the meeting, which was attended by Her Excellency Iman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Education Department, as well as Hessa Al-Raisi, representing the Ministry of Community Development. Additionally, members of the association and representatives from local authorities were present.
During the session, Al Hajj presented a comprehensive overview encompassing the association’s activities report, budget, and planned initiatives. These initiatives align with the directives and visions of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, whose unwavering support ensures the association’s continued success.
Al Hajj extended gratitude to Her Highness for her steadfast commitment to the Friends of Diabetes Association, enabling it to fulfill its mission and launch impactful initiatives. She also commended the dedication of all association members and volunteers, acknowledging their collective efforts in advancing the association’s objectives and disseminating vital health awareness messages within the community.
