UAE Team Emirates showcased their prowess in cycling with impressive performances by Marc Hirschi and Adam Yates in different races.
At the GP des Kantons Aargau, Hirschi secured a commendable 2nd place after a fierce sprint, narrowly missing out on the win to Thibau Nys of Trek Segafredo. Hirschi expressed satisfaction with his form and praised the team’s efforts.
Meanwhile, at the Criterium du Dauphiné, Adam Yates delivered a strong performance, finishing 2nd in a grueling stage. Yates climbed to the 2nd position in the general classification, trailing the leader Jonas Vingegaard by 2 minutes and 11 seconds.
The UAE Team Emirates rider aims to maintain his position in the final stage, which promises challenging climbs.
Yates commented, “When Vingegaard attacked, I tried to chase at my own pace, looking to see if there were more guys, but nobody else was there. I did the best I could, the team rode well too, so I can’t complain.”
