UAE Archery Federation President Commends National Team’s Success at Gulf Youth Games

Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, President of the Emirates Arch and Arrow Federation, lauded the UAE national team’s outstanding performance at the inaugural Gulf Youth Games, securing a total of 22 medals, including 10 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze.

Al Kaabi emphasized that this achievement underscores the remarkable progress witnessed in the sport of archery, marking a milestone in the implementation of the federation’s future-oriented strategy. He highlighted the federation’s commitment to sustaining programs, organizing events, and adopting long-term development plans, extending through 2032.

Expressing gratitude, Al Kaabi thanked His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, for his patronage of the tournament. He also commended Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, for his diligent oversight of the event’s organization.

Al Kaabi emphasized the importance of collaboration among the General Sports Authority, sports councils, and entities across the UAE to uphold the nation’s reputation as a premier host of sporting events.

He further highlighted the significance of the tournament in fostering camaraderie among Gulf Cooperation Council youth, promoting skill exchange, and nurturing sporting values through fair competition.

Al Kaabi extended appreciation to various archery clubs, including the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, Al Madam Club, Abu Dhabi Bow and Arrow Club, Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Al Bataeh Club, and Dibba Al Hisn Club, for their pivotal role in talent discovery, skill development, and capacity building for male and female players.
