The Rail Project Overview
The Dh50 billion UAE Railways Programme, launched in December 2021, represents the largest integrated transport system in the country. This ambitious initiative aims to enhance goods and passenger transport while creating over 9,000 jobs by 2030.
The railway infrastructure is largely complete, having already been in operation for freight transport since 2023, with a fleet capable of moving 60 million tons of goods annually.
Etihad Rail is poised to redefine travel in the UAE, bringing unprecedented convenience and speed to residents across the emirates.
