New Child Development Centre Opens in Bur Dubai to Support Autism and ADHD Care

Dubai, UAE – June 5, 2025
A specialized child development centre focusing on early intervention and therapeutic care for children with autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has officially opened its doors in Bur Dubai, offering a vital support hub for families across the city.

The newly inaugurated facility, equipped with state-of-the-art therapy rooms and staffed by trained developmental specialists, aims to address the growing demand for comprehensive care services for children with neurodevelopmental conditions. The centre will offer diagnosis, behavioural therapy, occupational and speech therapy, as well as parental support programs all under one roof.

Dr. Aisha Al Suwaidi, Director of the initiative, said the centre was established to “fill a critical gap in accessible and inclusive care for children with special needs.”

“Early diagnosis and consistent, personalized support are crucial for helping children with autism and ADHD thrive,” she said. “This centre is designed to be a safe, nurturing space where children can develop social, cognitive, and emotional skills at their own pace.”

The facility’s launch comes amid a wider effort in the UAE to expand inclusive education and health services. According to recent figures from Dubai’s Community Development Authority, there has been a steady rise in the number of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD, highlighting the need for specialized intervention programs.

Parents welcomed the news, with many calling the centre a “long-awaited relief.” Ahmed Khan, father of a 6-year-old with autism, praised the centre’s holistic approach. “Having all these services in one place, close to where we live, is a game changer for our family,” he said.

The centre will also collaborate with local schools and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and educational support. Monthly workshops and community awareness sessions are also planned to reduce stigma and encourage early screening.

Located in the heart of Bur Dubai, the facility is now open for assessments and consultations, with subsidized options available for eligible families.
