Dubai, UAE – June 5, 2025 —
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has announced a large-scale Eid Al Adha celebration dedicated to honoring the emirate’s workforce, reaffirming its commitment to community inclusivity and worker appreciation.
Scheduled to take place in the days leading up to the Eid holiday, the event will bring together thousands of workers from various sectors for a festive gathering filled with cultural performances, traditional Emirati cuisine, and entertainment. Organized under the theme of “Together in Celebration,” the initiative aims to recognize the contributions of laborers who form the backbone of Dubai’s growth and development.
Speaking ahead of the celebration, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said the event is designed to “express gratitude to the hardworking men and women who support Dubai’s progress and prosperity.”
“This celebration is more than a festival it’s a gesture of unity, respect, and appreciation for the labor force that plays a vital role in our society,” he said.
The event will feature cultural shows, raffle draws, complimentary meals, health check-up stations, and gift distributions. Organized in collaboration with several government entities and private sponsors, the gathering reflects the UAE’s broader commitment to fostering social cohesion and well-being among its diverse population.
Workers from across the construction, service, hospitality, and logistics sectors are expected to attend. Transportation will be arranged to ensure accessibility from major labor accommodations around the city.
Last year, a similar event drew over 5,000 participants and received widespread praise for promoting community spirit and social responsibility. This year’s edition is expected to be even larger and more inclusive.
Eid Al Adha, one of the most important Islamic holidays, is traditionally a time of reflection, giving, and community bonding values that the GDRFA seeks to highlight through this initiative.
