Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation Collaborates with Sharjah Private Education Authority to Boost National Employment in the Private Education Sector

In a significant move towards fostering the employment of specialized national human resources in the private education sector, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Sharjah Private Education Authority have entered into a collaborative agreement.

This partnership underscores the commitment to complementary roles between the two entities and aims to bolster joint tools for the effective utilization of national competencies, thereby contributing to the development of a competitive economy.

The agreement is designed to facilitate the implementation of Emiratisation policies and decisions within the private education sector in the Emirate of Sharjah. Additionally, it focuses on establishing a data linking mechanism between the two entities to safeguard the rights of national cadres and to promote sustainable career opportunities for them within educational facilities in the private sector. This includes counting national cadres within the Emiratisation percentage targets for private schools, fostering closer cooperation, and joint efforts between the concerned parties.

Furthermore, the agreement emphasizes the protection of citizen employees’ rights when engaged in the private education sector. It outlines procedures for issuing work permits for citizen employees in accordance with Ministry regulations, supporting employees by providing required wage data for monitoring systems, ensuring regular contributions to the Sharjah Social Security Fund, and electronic notification to the Ministry.

The agreement was formally signed by Her Excellency Aisha Mohammed Balharfia, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Emiratisation Affairs, and His Excellency Ali Ahmed Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority. The signing ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Muhaddith Yahya Al Hashemi, President of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and His Excellency Engineer Omar Khalfan bin Huraymel Al Shamsi, Head of the Human Resources Department in Sharjah, along with other officials from both sides.

Aisha Belharfia emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the government and educational sectors to enhance employment and develop human resources. She noted that this initiative is part of an ongoing commitment to elevate the quality of education, develop society, and provide it with competent and experienced national cadres, aligning with the shared vision for academic and social growth.

Expressing optimism, Ali Al Hosani highlighted the significance of opening new avenues for national cadres in private education. He stressed the Authority’s commitment to enhancing job opportunities for citizens and the success of initiatives like “Teacher and Proud,” the country’s first-of-its-kind initiative launched in 2019. This initiative focuses on providing suitable job opportunities in the private education sector, emphasizing individual competence and capabilities.
