Iran has rejected allegations linking it to the murder of Israeli citizen Zvi Kogan in the United Arab Emirates, according to a statement issued by the Iranian embassy in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. The embassy “categorically rejected” claims of Iran’s involvement in the crime, which has drawn significant attention following the discovery of Kogan’s body.
Kogan, who also held Moldovan citizenship, was reported missing by his family on November 21. Authorities later launched an investigation, which led to the discovery of his body and the identification of the suspects. The UAE has confirmed the arrest of three individuals involved in the crime, with legal proceedings now underway.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the murder as a “heinous” act, underscoring the gravity of the situation. In response, the UAE government stressed its commitment to ensuring societal stability, stating that it would use “all legal powers” to address any threats to the nation’s security.
The ongoing case has raised tensions and sparked international reactions, with the UAE vowing to respond decisively to the crime.
