Etihad Airways announced today the preliminary results of passenger traffic on its flights for the month of February 2024, as it received more than 1.4 million guests, while the average load factor reached 89% over the course of the month.
Antonualdo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said: “Last February, we witnessed a 46% year-on-year growth in the number of passengers as we continue to implement the growth strategy. The number of passengers during the months of January and February of this year reached about 2.9 million passengers, an increase of 40% of the numbers recorded in the same period in 2023.”
He added: “During February 2024, we witnessed many developments. We strengthened our fleet with the reception of 3 787-9 aircraft, which is a step that is in line with the strategy of expanding the destination network by adding new destinations and increasing the number of flights to major markets.”
He continued: “It was announced that we will operate flights to two new destinations this year, namely Antalya, Turkey, and Jaipur, India, which represents the 11th destination to which we operate non-stop flights between Abu Dhabi and the Indian subcontinent. We are also proud to announce our partnership with the Chennai Super Kings Indian cricket team, which enhances Our commitment to the Indian market.”
