Dubai has announced an expansive New Year celebration plan for 2026, featuring 48 fireworks displays across the city as it prepares to welcome the new year in grand style.
The celebrations will take place at some of Dubai’s most iconic locations, including the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Global Village and several other landmarks, offering residents and visitors a citywide spectacle to mark the countdown to 2026.
According to authorities, all fireworks events will be held under the direct supervision of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA), working in coordination with relevant government bodies based on the specific requirements of each location. The move is aimed at ensuring public safety, smooth crowd management and seamless execution of the festivities.
In addition to fireworks, the New Year programme will feature live performances, immersive visual displays, moving platforms, aerial stunts and cutting-edge technology designed to deliver a world-class entertainment experience.
Officials said the wide-ranging celebrations reflect Dubai’s reputation as a global destination for major events and its commitment to hosting safe, well-organised public gatherings.
Further details on timings, locations and traffic arrangements are expected to be announced closer to the event, as the city gears up for one of its most ambitious New Year celebrations yet.
