Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Holds Legal Seminar on “Corporate and Business Taxation” in Collaboration with Ajman Department of Finance

In a bid to educate and enlighten business owners and private sector establishments on various types of taxes, specific legislations concerning corporate and business taxation, compliance procedures, registration, tax calculation, and understanding the tax base, Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a legal seminar titled “Corporate and Business Taxation” in collaboration with the Ajman Department of Finance.

The seminar, attended by over 100 participants including government employees, business owners, and legal professionals, featured presentations by Ahmed Awad Al-Sharabini, Tax Specialist at the Department of Finance, who delved into the intricacies of tax laws and regulations.

Key topics covered during the seminar included the types of taxes applied in the country, the definition of corporate taxation, entities subject to corporate tax, exemptions from corporate tax, tax base, calculation methods, tax treatment in free zones, taxation of non-resident individuals, registration procedures, tax declarations, and deregistration.

Aisha Al Nuaimi, Acting Director of Legal Affairs at Ajman Chamber, emphasized that the seminar reflects the chamber’s commitment to enhancing legal awareness among business owners, private sector establishments, and the community at large. She highlighted the chamber’s pioneering role in providing a sustainable and attractive business environment for investment.
