Abu Dhabi is set to host XPANSE, an immersive science and technology symposium, from November 20 to 22 at the ADNEC exhibition hall. The event, which will welcome up to 2,500 professionals, including Nobel Prize winners and top global science and technology leaders, aims to showcase cutting-edge ideas through dynamic, short sessions on immersive stages.
XPANSE will feature keynote talks from prominent figures such as Dr. Steven Chu, Nobel Laureate and former U.S. Secretary of Energy; Dr. Anton Zeilinger, Nobel-winning physicist in quantum physics; and Sir Martin Sorrell, Founder of WPP and CEO of S4 Capital. The event will explore a wide range of topics including the future of 6G communications, bio-inspired AI, precision medicine, and advancements in genomics and materials science.
Khalifa Al Qubaisi, Chief Commercial Officer of ADNEC, highlighted that XPANSE will also feature startup pitch sessions, offering valuable opportunities for innovation and new business ventures.
Dr. Zina Cinker, the Chief Creator of XPANSE, emphasized the importance of making science relatable to the public. “Science belongs to humanity, not just scientists,” she said. XPANSE will integrate art and creative storytelling to make complex scientific concepts more accessible.
The symposium is organized by ADQ, a leading Abu Dhabi investment firm, in partnership with MATTER, an international think tank led by Dr. Cinker, and the Technology Innovation Institute (TII).
