In an exciting development, the first non-stop flight connecting Western Canada with Dubai is poised to embark on its maiden journey from Vancouver this Saturday morning.

Air Canada is set to provide regular flights connecting these two destinations, offering departures four times a week from Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

The duration of the flight is approximately 15 hours, departing at 9:15 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It gracefully touches down in the United Arab Emirates at 12:05 a.m. two days later, as detailed in a recent news release from the airport.

Mark Galardo, representing Air Canada, emphasized the significance of this new route, stating, “Not only are both cities two of the top cosmopolitan destinations worldwide renowned for their extraordinary landmarks, rich culture, entertainment, and leisure adventures, this route links two global hub airports to offer customers unparalleled travel options and conveniences.”

Dubai International Airport holds the distinction of being the busiest in the world for international travelers, according to YVR’s official statement. This new non-stop route is anticipated to generate approximately $30.4 million in local revenue and facilitate the creation of 63 full-time job opportunities.

The non-stop route will be served by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner equipped with 298 seats, ensuring an exceptional travel experience for passengers.
