Sharjah Football Company Secures South Korean Midfielder Cho Yeumin in Long-Term Deal

Sharjah Football Company has finalized a contract with 27-year-old South Korean midfielder Cho Yeumin, extending until June 2026. The talented player joins Sharjah from the Korean Daejeon Hana Citizen club, replacing the South Korean Greek defender Konstas Manolas, whose contract was terminated by the club.

Yeumin, known for his versatility in playing as a right defender and central defender, successfully underwent a medical examination supervised by the club’s medical staff upon his arrival in Sharjah last Tuesday. The signing procedures were officially completed on Wednesday morning.

Born on November 17, 1996, Yeumin is recognized as one of the top defenders in the Korean League. Having turned professional in 2018, he has participated in 166 matches in Korean League competitions, scoring 17 goals. On the international stage, Yeumin has 16 matches to his credit, representing South Korea in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and playing for the Korean U-23 Olympic team.

His consistent contributions have earned him a spot on the national team’s roster for the upcoming Asian Nations Cup in Qatar, showcasing his importance to both the Olympic team and the youth team.
