During a meeting at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority headquarters, His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, the Director-General, engaged in discussions with a Siemens Energy delegation led by Stefan May, the CEO of the company’s Electricity and Automation Business Unit. The talks centered on the latest developments in the energy sector and strategies to enhance collaboration in energy production projects, transmission and distribution networks, and advancements in digital technologies for improved energy efficiency.
Highlighting the commitment of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority to sustainable development, His Excellency Abdullah Abdul Rahman emphasized the Authority’s dedication to cooperating with local and international entities. The goal is to apply cutting-edge technologies and digital transformation in service delivery, improve operational efficiency and sustainability, and devise innovative solutions within the energy sector.
During the meeting, he underscored the Authority’s efforts to align with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. These efforts focus on the necessity of preparing and developing plans to meet the growing demand for energy driven by ongoing expansion and development projects across all regions of the Emirate of Sharjah. The discussion also touched upon several strategic axes and ongoing projects implemented by the Authority.
