Light Rain, Cloudy Skies, and Fog Expected Across Dubai and Parts of UAE on Feb 6

Dubai, Feb 6, 2026 – Residents in Dubai and several other parts of the UAE are experiencing light rain and cloudy skies, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting intermittent showers throughout the day.

The weather shift is linked to unstable pressure systems and increasing cloud cover, particularly affecting northern and eastern areas. Coastal and inland regions may see brief rainfall, while mountainous areas like Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah could experience heavier showers due to terrain-induced cloud formation. Abu Dhabi is expected to remain mostly cloudy, with lower chances of rain.

Temperatures in Dubai are expected to reach a pleasant 26°C during the day and dip to 17–18°C at night. Rising humidity overnight could lead to early morning fog, especially in coastal zones and islands, prompting authorities to issue alerts for reduced visibility on major roads. Motorists are advised to drive cautiously, maintain low speeds, and use headlights in foggy conditions.

Winds will blow light to moderate from southeasterly to northeasterly directions at 10–20 kmph, with occasional gusts up to 30 kmph, adding a cool, breezy feel to the day.

Meteorologists note that this weather pattern is typical for the winter transition period, with light rain, cloud cover, and fog likely to persist into the weekend. Residents are encouraged to follow official updates for the latest forecasts.
