Emirates Bow and Arrow Federation Announces Third Stage of League in Ras Al Khaimah

The Emirates Bow and Arrow Federation has disclosed that the upcoming third stage of the Emirates League, encompassing the “compound and recurve” bow categories, is scheduled to take place at the main stadium of the Ras Al Khaimah Cultural and Sports Club on January 6th and 7th. This initiative aligns with the federation’s strategic goal of promoting the sport and expanding opportunities for its practice across various emirates in the country.

Comprising four stages in total, the UAE League commenced its first stage last November and is set to conclude in April. Following the completion of the four stages, four players from each category will be chosen to participate in a final competition.

During their recent visit to the Ras Al Khaimah Sports Club, the Federation delegation familiarized themselves with the sports facilities, infrastructure, and extensive equipment in the main stadium. The delegation, led by Adel Al Hammadi, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the National Teams Committee, included Mohammed Al Falahi, Executive Director, Adel Raja, Technical Director, and Sheikha Al Khatri, Chairwoman of the Referees Committee, with the presence of Ali Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Ras Al Khaimah Sports Club.

Adel Al Hammadi commended the Ras Al Khaimah Club for its noteworthy efforts in prioritizing sporting activities and collaborating with the Arch and Arrow Federation to organize sporting events. He highlighted that the third stage of the league will feature the participation of both male and female players from within and outside the country. This inclusivity aims to engage diverse groups, contributing to heightened competition and securing international recognition for the participants through registration in the International Federation of Bow and Arrow system.

Elaborating on the league’s progress, Al Hammadi noted that the second phase witnessed the involvement of 144 male and female players from 14 clubs and academies in mid-December. The federation remains dedicated to ongoing development initiatives that bolster the success of the game, facilitate its widespread adoption, and enhance the skills of its practitioners.
