Dubai to Open New State-of-the-Art Diabetes Centre by 2026

Dubai will soon have a new, larger and more advanced diabetes centre, which is set to double the capacity of the current facility. The announcement, made by Dubai Health on Wednesday, revealed plans for the new centre, which will span over 53,000 square feet — double the size of the existing centre — and is expected to open in 2026.

The new facility aims to cater to the growing number of diabetes patients in the city, with a focus on enhancing the overall healthcare experience. While the exact location of the centre has not yet been disclosed, Dubai Health officials confirmed it will be easily accessible from various parts of the city.

The centre will offer a wide range of services, including advanced therapeutic programs, and will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) alongside traditional healthcare practices. The facility will be equipped with the latest medical technologies, and its examination rooms will be designed to offer a smooth and efficient experience for patients.

The new diabetes centre builds on the legacy of the existing Diabetes Centre, which has been in operation for 15 years and has served over 15,000 patients since its opening in 2009.

In a statement, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasized Dubai Health’s commitment to positioning Dubai as a global leader in healthcare innovation. “We aim to continuously develop services that provide the highest levels of specialised care for diabetes patients,” added Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, member of the Dubai Health Board of Directors and Chair of the Steering Committee of the new Diabetes Centre.

With this new centre, Dubai Health continues its efforts to provide world-class healthcare services, ensuring that diabetes patients have access to the most advanced treatment options available.
