DUBAI – The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced temporary changes to intercity bus routes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi from March 29 to April 1, 2025, in an effort to enhance travel convenience during the Eid Al Fitr holiday. Regular schedules will resume on April 2, 2025.
Passengers are encouraged to check updated bus schedules via the Shail app, available on the App Store, Google Play, and Huawei App Gallery.
Traffic Advisory for Dubai Airports
With increased passenger traffic expected at Dubai International Airport (DXB), the RTA has advised motorists to prepare for potential congestion on key access roads, including:
- Airport Road
- Rashidiya Road
- Access points to departure halls
Peak Traffic Hours to Avoid
Motorists not traveling to the airport are advised to steer clear of these areas during peak congestion periods:
- 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
To ease congestion, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes, such as Sheikh Rashid Road and Nad Hamar Road.
Dubai Metro Extended Hours for Eid
To accommodate increased travel demand, Dubai Metro will operate until 1:00 AM from March 29 to April 2, 2025.
The RTA urges residents and visitors to plan their travel in advance and utilize public transport options to avoid delays during the busy holiday period.
