Dubai Racing Club Joins Forces with France Galop in Landmark International Horse Racing Partnership

In a move set to elevate the global profile of thoroughbred racing, the Dubai Racing Club and France Galop have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing international collaboration and boosting the sport’s global appeal.

The agreement, unveiled in a joint statement this week, will see the two prestigious racing organizations share resources, expertise, and talent across key areas including training, race programming, technology, and marketing. The collaboration also includes plans for cross-promotional racing events and greater coordination on equine welfare standards.

“This partnership underscores Dubai’s commitment to the growth of international horse racing,” said Major General Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, Executive Director of Dubai Racing Club. “France has a rich heritage in the sport, and through this alliance with France Galop, we aim to exchange best practices and introduce innovative ideas that benefit the entire racing ecosystem.”

France Galop, which oversees flat and jump racing across France, welcomed the agreement as a step toward a more interconnected future for the sport. “We are proud to partner with Dubai Racing Club, a global leader in modern racecourse management and innovation,” said France Galop President Édouard de Rothschild. “Together, we can strengthen ties between Europe and the Middle East and create exciting opportunities for owners, trainers, and fans alike.”

As part of the partnership, both clubs plan to introduce new incentive programs for international entries, and explore joint sponsorships and rider exchange initiatives. Special events and racing fixtures are also being discussed for inclusion in the global calendar, with details expected to be finalized later this year.

Industry analysts see this as a strategic move that could set the stage for a broader network of collaboration among top-tier racing bodies, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global hub for equestrian sport.

The Dubai Racing Club, renowned for hosting the iconic Dubai World Cup, has increasingly focused on international engagement as part of its long-term vision. France Galop, meanwhile, brings decades of tradition and competitive prestige, with classic events such as the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe among its highlights.

Both organizations affirmed their shared commitment to upholding the highest standards in racing integrity, sustainability, and horse welfare.
