In light of the ongoing season’s success, the Dubai Racing Carnival at Meydan Racecourse is poised to introduce more incentivizing surprises throughout 2024. The strategic modifications and new structuring have laid the groundwork for an exceptional season, comprising four race evenings thus far in the new 2023-2024 racing calendar under the revamped “Dubai Racing Carnival,” extending from November to the upcoming March. The recent highlight was the “Festival Friday,” marking the first of the three major carnival evenings in the Dubai Racing Carnival calendar.

Major General Dr. Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, Board Member and CEO of the Dubai Racing Club, affirmed that the impressions garnered from this season’s Dubai Racing Carnival at Meydan, in its new format, have been overwhelmingly positive. These developments suggest a remarkable season with a potentially positive impact on the upcoming Dubai World Cup in 2024.

Al Adhab elucidated that the restructuring of the racing carnival season, notably featuring “Carnival Nights,” aims to attract top global racehorses to Dubai, establishing it as a key hub for regional racing and leveraging the city’s exceptional facilities.

He emphasized that the incorporation of the new season structure was part of the adjustment, providing top-rated international horses participating in regional races the opportunity to arrive in Dubai and benefit from its high-end facilities. Subsequently, these horses proceed to participate in regional races before moving on to Europe and America.

Al Adhab concluded by stating that feedback from horse owners, jockeys, trainers, and the audience after four race evenings at Meydan has been exceedingly positive. This optimistic response is anticipated to have a definitive positive impact on the 28th edition of the Dubai World Cup, concluding the season on a high note.

Highlighting that more delightful surprises are in store for horse owners, jockeys, trainers, and the audience in the remaining events of the Dubai Racing Carnival, Al Adhab assured everyone of upcoming surprises as the season progresses. The CEO expressed the commitment to leveraging every opportunity to enhance the interest and success of horse racing in Dubai and the UAE, welcoming feedback for continuous improvement and achieving excellence.
