Dubai’s private schools have achieved their highest enrollment in the academic year 2023-24, according to the Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). The total number of students in private schools has reached 365,000, marking a significant increase of 12% compared to the previous year, totaling an additional 39,000 students.
This enrollment surge represents a historic milestone since the establishment of the authority in 2007, with this academic year also witnessing the first-ever double-digit growth in private school enrollments. This demonstrates Dubai’s position as an advanced educational hub that upholds the highest global standards of educational quality.
Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, the director-general of KHDA, commented, “Our city is not merely experiencing growth; it is actively fostering it. An ambitious city attracts ambitious individuals, and Dubai consistently welcomes a growing number of families and educators each year.” These numbers align with Dubai Statistics data, which shows that Dubai’s population has increased by over 84,400 people since January 2023.
