Dubai Petroleum Renews Contract with EnerMech for Offshore Crane Services

Dubai Petroleum has extended its long-standing contract with EnerMech, a global specialist in mechanical and electrical engineering services, to continue providing crane operations and maintenance across its offshore assets.

The contract renewal will see EnerMech deliver a range of services, including crane maintenance, inspection, and repair work, supporting Dubai Petroleum’s offshore oil and gas operations in the Arabian Gulf. The agreement underscores the company’s focus on operational safety, reliability, and efficiency in its critical lifting infrastructure.

EnerMech, which has worked with Dubai Petroleum for several years, said the contract extension reflects both its technical expertise and its track record in the region. “We are proud to continue our partnership with Dubai Petroleum, ensuring safe and efficient crane operations across their offshore platforms,” said a company spokesperson. “This renewal highlights the confidence placed in our team and our ability to deliver world-class services in challenging environments.”

Dubai Petroleum, one of the UAE’s key upstream operators, has been investing in asset integrity and extending the lifecycle of its infrastructure as part of broader efforts to maximise output and improve safety standards. Cranes are vital to offshore oil and gas production, used extensively for lifting heavy equipment, supplies, and machinery onto platforms.

Industry analysts note that the renewal reflects wider trends in the Middle East oil and gas sector, where operators are prioritising cost efficiency and safety while extending the lifespan of existing assets rather than committing to large-scale new developments.

EnerMech, headquartered in Aberdeen, has been expanding its presence in the Middle East, offering integrated services ranging from mechanical handling to hydraulics, inspection, and training. The company views the Dubai Petroleum contract as a cornerstone of its regional growth strategy.

The value of the extended contract has not been disclosed, but it is expected to run over multiple years, ensuring continuity of services for one of the UAE’s most established offshore operators.
