Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that public parking will be free of charge on December 2 and 3 in celebration of the UAE National Day, except for multi-storey parking. This means residents will enjoy three consecutive days of free parking, as no parking fees are charged on Sundays.
The announcement also coincides with a four-day weekend for most residents, as December 2 and 3 have been declared paid holidays for both the public and private sectors. During this period, private schools, nurseries, and universities in Dubai will remain closed, with classes resuming on Wednesday, December 4.
UAE National Day, now referred to as Eid Al Etihad, marks the unification of the Emirates in 1971. This year, the country celebrates its 53rd anniversary, with official celebrations being held in Al Ain, featuring the nation’s leaders and rulers amid the region’s breathtaking natural landscapes.
