Tragedy struck this evening as an armed explosion rocked the “Crocus City Hall” shopping center, located to the west of Moscow, resulting in 40 fatalities and over 100 injuries.
The Russian Federal Security Service, as reported by Interfax news agency, revealed that a group of individuals initiated an armed assault, opening fire prior to the commencement of a concert by a Russian band within the concert hall of the Crocus City Hall mall in Krasnogorsk, situated on the outskirts of Moscow. The incident swiftly escalated, leading to the loss of 40 lives, with more than 100 individuals sustaining injuries. Subsequently, a fire engulfed the building.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the attack on the Crocus City mall, labeling it as a heinous crime.
