Tariq Al Bahri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Professional Jiu-Jitsu Association, affirmed the re-election of His Excellency Abdul Moneim Al Hashimi as President of the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federation marks a significant milestone in the sport’s journey, heralding both past successes and future endeavors in Emirati sports.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, following the General Assembly meeting held at the Millennium Al Rawda Hotel in Abu Dhabi, Al Bahri expressed, “The re-election is a testament to the collective achievements of the past and signifies a new chapter in Emirati sports.”
He further emphasized the commitment of all General Assembly members to continue striving for success at every level, stating, “The strong turnout at the General Assembly reflects the shared dedication to enhance the status of jiu-jitsu across the Asian continent and globally.”
Reflecting on his own election as treasurer, Al-Bahri acknowledged the weight of the responsibility and pledged to collaborate closely with the Asian Confederation to propel advancements in various aspects, including resource expansion, investment augmentation, and fostering partnerships to further elevate the sport’s rapid growth in Asia and beyond.
