Ajman Transport Authority Expands Bus Services for New Year’s Holiday

In response to the surging demand for public transport during the New Year’s holiday, the Ajman Transport Authority is set to enhance its services by increasing the number of buses and trips. The move aims to accommodate the rising need for transportation and enhance the overall capacity of the transport system.

Engineer Sami Ali Al-Jallaf, Executive Director of the Public Transport and Licensing Corporation, outlined the authority’s plan, which involves adding buses, augmenting trip frequency on both internal and external routes, and deploying additional reserve drivers during morning and evening shifts.

To ensure ample transportation options for users during the New Year holiday, the authority has introduced additional buses and increased trips on various lines. Internal lines such as Al-Jarf Line, Industrial Line, and Al-Hamidiyah Line will experience boosted services from 2 PM to 11 PM. External lines, including Centre Point Metro Line and Sharjah Line, will also see extended bus trips during the same time frame.

Furthermore, extra trips have been incorporated on both internal and external lines, encompassing Industrial Line, Al-Jarf Line, Sheikh Ammar Street Line, Al-Hamidiyah Line, and Al-Hamidiyah Feeder Line. External lines, namely Centre Point Metro Line, Metro Line to Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi Line, have witnessed an increase in trip frequency.
