Dubai Police Delegation Explores Belarusian Security Operations and Training During Official Visit

Minsk, Belarus — A high-level delegation from Dubai Police concluded an official visit to Belarus, aimed at enhancing cooperation in law enforcement and security. The visit was organized by the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs and featured an in-depth look at Belarus’ advanced capabilities in policing, training, and public safety.

The delegation’s tour began at the Minsk City Police Department, where they were briefed on Belarus’ cybercrime prevention strategies and digital security infrastructure. The visit continued at the Academy of the Internal Affairs Ministry, where Dubai officers held discussions with Deputy Internal Affairs Minister and Chief of Criminal Police Gennady Kazakevich. The academy’s leadership presented its educational framework and highlighted its capacity to train international police forces.

A significant portion of the visit focused on combating transnational crime. At the International Training Center for Migration and Combating Human Trafficking, Belarusian officials shared insights into their approach to tackling economic crimes and managing personnel effectively.

Dubai Police officers also visited the riot police base in Minsk, where they examined various types of tactical gear and equipment. Belarusian riot control units showcased their crowd management techniques in a live demonstration.

One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Center for Training, Professional Development and Retraining. There, the delegation observed a tactical performance by Belarus’ elite anti-terrorism unit, Almaz, which included a simulated hostage rescue operation — offering a glimpse into Belarus’ counterterrorism preparedness.

In the western city of Brest, Belarusian law enforcement shared protocols for maintaining public order in tourist areas. The Dubai officials participated in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame within the Brest Fortress Memorial Complex, paying tribute to Belarusian national heritage and fallen heroes.

The visit underscored the growing international collaboration between security forces and provided an opportunity for Dubai Police to study Belarus’ integrated policing model, particularly in the areas of cybercrime, counterterrorism, and human trafficking prevention.
