Sharjah Airport and Air Arabia marked the commencement of the airline’s inaugural flights to Phuket in the Kingdom of Thailand. The event was attended by His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Airport Authority, His Excellency Nipa Nirunnoot, Consul General of Thailand in Dubai, and His Excellency Khanin Puni Asopat, Visa Consul in Dubai, along with various officials and managers from Sharjah International Airport Authority and Air Arabia.
Air Arabia will operate Airbus A321 aircraft on the Sharjah Airport-Phuket route, offering four weekly flights. This initiative aligns with the vision of the Sharjah International Airport Authority to diversify travel options through Sharjah Airport, solidifying its position as a preferred travel hub by expanding airline route networks and increasing the array of destinations for passengers.
Expressing his views, His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa highlighted that the launch of Air Arabia’s inaugural flights to Phuket demonstrates the close collaboration between the Authority and strategic partners, including the Air Arabia Group. The aim is to elevate Sharjah Airport’s standing, deliver a distinguished travel experience, pioneer services, and broaden travel choices for passengers. The Authority is committed to providing top-notch services and facilities, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like self-service travel, thereby establishing Sharjah Airport as a preferred travel destination with advanced infrastructure.
