Emirates Extrusion Factory (EEF), a subsidiary of Dubai Investments, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, marking a journey defined by innovation, resilience, and sustainability.

Founded in 1995 with a single press and just over 100 employees, the company has grown into one of the UAE’s leading aluminum extrusion manufacturers. Today, EEF operates three advanced presses with a workforce exceeding 240 and an annual production capacity of 16,200 metric tons. Its products are exported to 19 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, featuring in landmark projects such as The Torch Tower and Damac Hills in the UAE, as well as 150 Aldersgate Tower in London.

The company’s growth accelerated in 1997 when Dubai Investments acquired it, providing the foundation for diversification and international expansion. “Dubai Investments’ early backing provided EEF with the platform to innovate and grow,” said Sreekumar Brahmanandan, General Manager of Emirates Extrusion Factory. “Three decades later, we continue to invest in people, technology, and sustainability to support smarter, greener cities.”

EEF has pioneered several industry-first innovations, including the UAE’s first thermal break system in 2001 and, most recently, the country’s first zero-waste curtain-wall system, aligning with the Net Zero 2050 agenda. Its portfolio spans powder coating, anodizing, wood finishes, solar-ready profiles, and modular façades.

Sustainability remains central to EEF’s operations, with in-house recycling of aluminum scrap, wastewater treatment, and annual carbon emissions monitoring. These efforts support national strategies such as Operation 300bn and Net Zero 2050.

Looking ahead, EEF plans to expand further into Africa, Asia, and Europe with a focus on recyclable and solar-ready systems. Strategic collaborations, including a recent partnership with UCS to develop the UAE’s first zero-waste curtain-wall system, are expected to strengthen its market presence.

As the company marks three decades of operations, EEF positions itself not only as a beneficiary of the Emirates’ growth but also as a key contributor to the skylines and infrastructure shaping the nation’s future.
