The event highlighted the achievements of individuals who have demonstrated outstanding service in their respective fields, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to excellence in governance.
Recognising Educational Excellence
In the education sector, Salama Khalfan Al Mazrouei, principal of Qatar Al Nada School, was awarded the Best School Principal title and received the Prime Minister’s Medal. Her leadership and dedication to enhancing educational outcomes were praised by the ceremony’s attendees.
In addition, Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Siyabi was named Best Teacher for his exceptional work at Al Suqoor Secondary School for Boys in Abu Dhabi. His impact on his students and the broader educational community earned him well-deserved recognition at the event.
Honouring Diplomatic Service
Diplomatic service also garnered recognition, with Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to Indonesia, and Amana Mahmoud Mohammed Fikri, the UAE Ambassador to Finland, being honoured for their outstanding efforts in strengthening the UAE’s international relations. Their contributions reflect the nation’s commitment to fostering diplomatic ties and advancing global cooperation.
Healthcare Excellence Acknowledged
The healthcare sector was represented by Dr. Saqr Abdullah Al Mualla, a consultant at Al Qassimi Hospital, who received the Best Doctor award. Dr. Al Mualla’s exemplary medical service was celebrated, highlighting the high standards of healthcare in the UAE and the nation’s dedication to improving public health.
A Focus on Leadership and Innovation
The Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award 2024 focuses on Leadership and Vision Achievement, Distinguished Value and Important Services, Major and Transformational Projects, and Overall Performance and Competitiveness. The awards aim to promote excellence in government services and align with the UAE’s strategic vision for a prosperous future, as outlined in “We the Emirates Vision 2031”.
This year, a rigorous evaluation process was conducted by over 130 Emirati and international experts, who assessed 225 candidates from 27 competing entities. The updated evaluation criteria reflect the UAE’s readiness to adapt to global transformations and maintain its leadership in governance.
The Prime Minister’s Medals
The Prime Minister’s Medals were awarded to individuals who embody the highest standards of teamwork, loyalty, and positive citizenship. Launched in 2009, these medals serve as a mark of recognition for those who act as role models in society.
