UAE Leads Global Contributions in Gaza Aid Amid Ongoing Conflict

The UAE has emerged as the leading contributor to humanitarian aid in Gaza, providing $828 million (Dh3.04 billion) in assistance between October 2023 and November 2024, according to the latest data from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. This amounts to 42% of the total international aid sent to Palestinians during the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

From the onset of the conflict, the UAE was among the first to respond, delivering relief supplies and medical aid by air, land, and sea. The country’s “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” has seen a continuous flow of aid, including medical equipment, food parcels, blankets, coats, and other essential supplies for Palestinians enduring the war’s impact. Recently, 20 trucks carrying winter essentials like jackets, blankets, flour, and sugar were dispatched to Gaza.

While the UAE government has spearheaded these relief efforts, both Emiratis and expatriates, along with volunteers, have also played an active role in providing support for the humanitarian mission.
