UAE Family Fulfills Late Daughter’s Dream of Publishing Her Book After Tragic Death

A family in the UAE has honored the memory of their late daughter, Dr. Mira Murad Al Blooshi, by publishing her book just over a year after her tragic death in a car accident. Dr. Mira, a 27-year-old Emirati doctor, was killed in a crash caused by a reckless driver in November 2023.

For four years, Dr. Mira had dedicated herself to writing a book about Islam, hoping to share her research with the world. After her passing, her family made it their mission to bring her vision to life. The book, Ma Gabla AlNoor (Before the Light), explores life before the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and was launched during the Sharjah International Book Fair in November 2024.

Her family included a heartfelt message from Dr. Mira, written in her own hand: “May Allah grant you success and guidance, bless you in your times, and manage your affairs for what He loves and is pleased with, and make life easy for you.”

In addition to publishing the book, Dr. Mira’s family decided to donate the book’s proceeds to charitable organizations and provide free copies to those who could not afford them.

The Tragic Accident

Dr. Mira’s life was tragically cut short when she was involved in a two-part accident on November 12, 2023. According to her brother, Ahmed Al Blooshi, Dr. Mira was first involved in a minor collision caused by a reckless driver. After pulling over, another speeding car crashed into her from behind, resulting in severe injuries. Dr. Mira sustained a critical head injury that led to a tumor requiring surgery. After fighting for her life for two weeks, she passed away at the hospital where she had worked.

Ahmed shared his emotional loss, saying, “Mira was not just my sister; she was like a second mother to me. No amount of money can replace her; her loss has left a significant emptiness in our family.”

He also issued a poignant message to reckless drivers: “Your recklessness destroys families and shatters dreams. Your careless actions could bring sadness to others and end lives.”

Continuing Her Legacy

Dr. Mira’s passion for Islamic history and the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led her to research these topics extensively. She had already begun working on a second book titled Noor Ala Noor (Light Upon Light), and her family is now working to complete it based on her notes and plans, with hopes of publishing it soon.

Dr. Mira, a graduate of the University of Sharjah with a degree in medicine and surgery, was a resident physician at Rashid Hospital’s Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. She also earned a master’s degree in quality and safety in healthcare facilities management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Her family’s dedication to fulfilling her dream of publishing her book serves as a heartfelt tribute to her memory and the impact she left on her community.
