UAE Condemns Killing of UN World Food Programme Worker in Yemen

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued a strong condemnation over the killing of a UN World Food Programme worker from Jordan in Taiz, Yemen.

Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, expressed the UAE’s firm condemnation of these criminal acts and its unwavering rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to disrupt security and stability, going against fundamental human values and principles.

Al Hashimy extended her sincere condolences and sympathy to the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the victim’s family, and the World Food Programme. She emphasized that targeting humanitarian aid staff constitutes a grave violation of all international agreements that safeguard the protection of relief and rescue workers.
