According to the latest advisory from the US National Hurricane Centre (NHC), Tropical Storm Bret, currently located over the central Atlantic, has the potential to develop into a hurricane in the next few days. The NHC mentioned in its advisory that the storm is expected to approach the Lesser Antilles by the end of the week.
As of now, the tropical storm is situated approximately 1,210 miles (1,945 km) east of the southern Windward Islands, with maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour (65 km per hour), as stated by the Miami-based forecaster.
