H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently met with Lord Tariq Ahmad, the Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and United Nations of the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Preventing Violence in Conflict.
The meeting took place in Abu Dhabi and focused on reviewing the friendship relations, joint cooperation, and partnership between the UAE and the UK.
During the meeting, both sides addressed several key areas of mutual interest. One of the primary topics of discussion was the protection of civilians in conflict-affected regions and the importance of providing them with adequate support and humanitarian assistance. The ministers also examined the ongoing collaboration within international organizations and highlighted the significance of enhancing security, peace, and stability in the region and globally. Additionally, they emphasized the shared commitment to meeting the aspirations of people for development and prosperity.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Lord Tariq Ahmad underscored the strong and deep-rooted ties between the UAE and the UK, as well as the exceptional strategic partnership that exists between the two countries across various domains.
