Sharjah Ruler Inaugurates Second Phase of Kalba Commercial Buildings Project

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has reaffirmed the ongoing development projects in the city of Kalba, encompassing buildings, roads, and essential infrastructure to enhance service provisions.

During the inauguration ceremony of the second phase of commercial buildings, which included the handover of the Suhaila Kalba project to its owners, His Highness congratulated the proprietors of 41 residential buildings, comprising apartments and shops.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah also announced that building owners, whose property revenues were interrupted during the government project’s reconstruction phase, would receive compensation of AED 150,000 in lieu of the suspended revenues from recent years. He emphasized that this amount is their rightful entitlement.

Subsequently, His Highness presented the ownership certificates to the building owners, who expressed their gratitude and appreciation.

A presentation highlighting the completed work in the Kalba commercial buildings project was showcased to His Highness and the attendees. His Highness inspected one of the buildings, examining all its facilities. His Highness’s inauguration aligns with directives aimed at advancing the region’s development.

The second phase in the Suhaila Kalba area encompassed the enhancement of commercial buildings and infrastructure, with the construction of 41 buildings comprising 164 residential units, 123 commercial stores, and a 1-kilometer pedestrian arcade. This project includes 14 residential buildings, each featuring three residential units, nine shops, and a pedestrian arcade along the residential neighborhood.

The event was attended by prominent figures, including Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office in Khorfakkan, and Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office in Kalba, among others.
