Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced a range of exciting offerings across its fully-integrated and serviced destinations, aimed at providing unforgettable experiences for locals, residents, and tourists throughout the summer season.
The offerings include up to 50 percent discounts on tickets to top attractions, engaging kids’ summer camps, thrilling adventure activities, exciting prizes and raffle draws, educational opportunities, and more. Shurooq aims to make the summer of 2023 truly memorable for everyone.
Summer in Sharjah is all about immersing oneself in the emirate’s rich history, culture, leisure, luxury, warm hospitality, and fun. Shurooq’s seven family-friendly destinations, including Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, Al Noor Island, Maraya Art Centre, The Chedi Al Bait Sharjah, Al Montazah Parks, Kshisha Park, Mleiha Archaeological Centre, and Khorfakkan Beach, offer a wide range of activities and experiences.
Discounted tickets and exclusive summer packages are available for guided city bus tours on City Sightseeing Sharjah and Sharjah Boats Tour, allowing visitors to explore the city’s top attractions at reduced costs.
For visitors to Al Qasba and Al Majaz, a Summer Passport provides exclusive access and discounts to water-themed experiences until August 31. Activities include Sofa Boat rides, kayaking, Happy Fun games, football at Falkon Sport, and mesmerizing musical fountain shows.
Al Heera Beach, spanning 3.5 km in the Al Fisht area, offers water sports such as flyboarding, paddleboarding, and beach volleyball. Early morning Yoga by the Beach is held every weekend, and visitors can earn a free kids play area entry for every AED 50 spent at outlets. An Ice Cream van is also available daily.
The “Summer is Calling” summer camp at Khorfakkan Beach, organized in collaboration with the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, offers a variety of beach-themed activities for children and families. Competitions and activities including rowing, sailing, fishing, swimming, diving, and beach volleyball await participants.
Al Montazah Parks presents the “Daytime Delights, Night-time Thrills” summer program until the end of August, offering visitors a chance to win incredible prizes such as iPhones, Sony PlayStations, gym memberships, complimentary hotel stays, and more. Raffle entries are available with every AED 100 spent at F&B or retail outlets, or through purchasing tickets to rides and attractions. Ladies can exclusively enjoy Pearls Kingdom at Al Montazah Parks every Tuesday, starting from June 13.
The Chedi Al Bait, Shurooq’s boutique heritage property in the Heart of Sharjah, offers special packages for guests, including cashback and discounts on accommodations, complimentary dinner for children, and access to the pool with a Day Pass. Spa services also come with a 20 percent discount.
For nature enthusiasts, Mysk Kingfisher Retreat in Kalba and Mysk Al Badayer Retreat in Sharjah’s central desert offer a 25 percent discount on luxurious accommodations.
At Mleiha Archaeological Centre, visitors can enjoy discounts on horse riding tours, adventure packages, camping experiences, and stargazing activities. Additionally, City Sightseeing Sharjah offers up to 50 percent off on tickets for day and night tours, while Sharjah Boats Tour provides discounts on private boat excursions.
Maraya Art Centre offers workshops for both children and adults, covering various creative activities such as watercolor bookmark making, tote bag decoration, ink painting, and texture painting.
Al Noor Island and Kshisha Park also offer discounted tickets and workshops. Al Noor Island features workshops in cupcake decoration and arts and crafts, while Kshisha Park provides practical exercises, football matches, rowing training, and other water activities for children.
