The steeplechase championship, a highlight of the 11th edition of the “Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament,” is set to conclude tomorrow, Thursday, at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex, carrying the theme of “Unlimited Abilities” throughout its competitions.
Over 400 male and female adventure sports enthusiasts of diverse nationalities and ages are taking part in the steeplechase challenge. The competition entails navigating 11 obstacles spread across a 400-meter distance in the quickest time possible, with a maximum limit of 4 minutes.
The tournament has witnessed fierce competition as participants vie for lucrative financial prizes totaling 290,000 dirhams.
In parallel, the International Padel Federation (Rise) Championship commenced with strong contests on its opening day, featuring top international players. The championship will continue until Sunday, March 24th, with nine matches held on the inaugural day. Notable results included Jorge Hernan and Xavi Mason’s victory over Alejandro Chaveli and Alvaro Clement (6-2, 6-4), as well as Philippe Orlev and Ivan Lopez’s win against Sebastiao Mendonca and Plinio Ferrao (6-7, 6-4, 6-3), among others.
Meanwhile, teams participating in the volleyball tournament kicked off their preparations by training at the main hall of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.
The organizing committee has finalized the match schedule for the volleyball tournament, slated to commence on Friday, March 22, at the main hall of the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex. Eight teams will compete in the tournament, divided into two groups. Group one includes Zabeel, the Emperor, Fahd Zabeel, and Al-Ameed, while group two comprises Al-Jarah, Spider-Team, Bin Thani, and Al-Malik.
