The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology is set to kick off the second installment of the “Manufacturers” exhibition for jobs in industry and advanced technology from April 22 to 23 at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center. Building upon the success of the inaugural edition, which was jointly hosted by the Ministry and the ADNOC Group in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the UAE Talent Competitiveness Council “NAFES”.
The first edition garnered significant participation from industrial companies, resulting in the provision of 505 immediate job opportunities for Emirati cadres in industrial and service sectors. Additionally, numerous targeted training opportunities were offered by the Ministry’s partners from specialized training centers.
Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to bolstering the competitiveness of the national industrial sector and equipping Emirati cadres with the necessary skills to pursue quality jobs. The Manufacturers Exhibition serves as a comprehensive platform uniting government partners, the private sector, training agencies, and job seekers to match opportunities with the needs of factories.
Building on the positive outcomes of the first edition, the Ministry aims to present over 600 new job opportunities and expand training programs leading to employment. Al Suwaidi commended the enthusiastic response from private sector companies in offering quality job opportunities to national cadres, highlighting their pivotal role in supporting the burgeoning industrial sector.
He urged all companies in the country to participate in the Manufacturers Exhibition and contribute to providing more job opportunities in the industrial and advanced technology sectors, thus bolstering the competitiveness of the national industrial sector and driving sustainable economic growth for the UAE.
The Ministry plans to sustain the exhibition’s positive impact by hosting introductory sessions on job and training opportunities from mid-March until early April.
The Manufacturers program was launched in March 2023 as part of the National Content Program initiatives, aimed at nurturing Emirati talent and facilitating their access to quality jobs in the industrial sector, thereby promoting company participation and benefiting from the incentives provided by the National Content program.
