The International Free Zone Authority (IFZA) has officially inaugurated its latest office in Germany, located in Frankfurt, as part of its expansive global growth strategy. The move is designed to enhance diplomatic ties between the UAE and Germany, fostering business development and increased investment collaboration.
The opening ceremony in Frankfurt saw the presence of His Excellency Khalfan Al Matroushi, Deputy Head of Mission at the UAE Embassy in Berlin, and Jochen Knecht, Executive Director of IFZA, alongside key figures from the German business sector.
IFZA’s global expansion plan includes the Frankfurt office, which aims to provide essential support for German companies seeking to establish commercial relations with Dubai. The move also seeks to strengthen IFZA’s presence on German soil by facilitating direct connections with business leaders, investors, and partners.
Jochen Knecht, Executive Director of IFZA, emphasized the significance of the move, stating that being in Germany is a crucial step to build mutually beneficial relations. He highlighted the importance of working closely with stakeholders and leveraging expertise in the business field to enhance economic cooperation and attract investments to the UAE.
IFZA’s objectives include creating communication channels between the markets in both countries, sharing investment information, and fostering relationships between companies and potential partners. The Frankfurt office will serve as a central hub to facilitate direct communication with the German business community, showcasing the business-friendly environment and opportunities available in Dubai.
The UAE’s top ranking in the Middle East and North Africa region for foreign direct investment flows, as indicated by the World Investment Report for 2023, positions IFZA strategically to capitalize on the country’s global infrastructure and attract international investors.
IFZA’s global footprint extends beyond Frankfurt, with successful offices in Spain, Switzerland, and China. With over 1,500 certified consultants and partners globally, IFZA offers specialized training to support business owners following the IFZA Way approach. The multinational approach is evident in its workforce representing more than 50 nationalities.
In the coming year, IFZA plans to further expand its global presence with additional offices in Austria, the United Kingdom, India, Africa, and Latin America.
