The Fujairah Science Club (FSC) has recently conducted a fascinating event focused on observing the phenomenon of the giant moon. The primary objective of the event was to document astronomical occurrences using state-of-the-art telescopes.
Saif Al Maaili, Chairman of the FSC, expressed that the event aimed to disseminate knowledge about space sciences and enhance the skills of the club’s members in this domain.
During the event, two telescopes were made available to attendees, enabling them to witness the awe-inspiring astronomical phenomenon of the giant moon.
The occurrence of a supermoon happens when the Moon’s orbit is at its closest point (perigee) to Earth while simultaneously being in the full moon phase.
