Emirates Financial Institute Launches First-Ever Alumni Association for Banking and Finance Experts

The Emirates Financial Institute, renowned for its expertise in banking and financial training, unveiled the inaugural “Ithra Program Alumni Association,” marking a significant milestone at both local and regional levels within the industry.

The launch event took place at the institute’s headquarters in Dubai, where attendees were introduced to the latest programs developed through collaborations with prestigious international educational institutions such as Oxford University, Harvard University, and Columbia University, among others.

The administrative framework of the “Ithra Program Alumni Association” was unveiled during the gathering, comprising graduates tasked with organizing a variety of virtual and in-person events. These events will include lectures, group discussions, and fundraising activities. Additionally, the institute plans to conduct webinars, workshops, and seminars addressing emerging trends and practices in the financial field, ensuring graduates remain informed about the rapidly evolving landscape.

Noura Al Balushi, Director General of the Emirates Financial Institute, emphasized the strategic importance of launching the “Ithra Program Alumni Association” to foster stronger connections among distinguished graduates and support their professional trajectories. Al Balushi underscored the graduates’ pivotal role in the institute’s success, highlighting the association’s aim to uphold a robust relationship with its alumni, in alignment with the leadership’s vision emphasizing the youth’s role in economic development. Furthermore, she emphasized the association’s contribution to nurturing a new generation of leaders in the banking and financial sector.

Recently, the Emirates Financial Institute celebrated the graduation of 1,056 male and female citizens from the inaugural batch of the “Ithra” program, aimed at localizing the banking and financial sector in the Emirates. Several graduates were nominated as graduate ambassadors during the ceremony, where they shared their experiences as accomplished financial leaders.
